(I learned this the same way as you, Burrell!)
F2F 3: Who's Bringing the Guacamole?
Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon: San Francisco, May 19-21, 2006! Everything else, go here! Swag!
juliana - K-Bug and I will be off on our Phoenix adventure and will miss the grand maternal visit. Please extend our joy at having her lovely daughter in our midst.
So I keep forgetting to check this thread and it looks like planning is well under way. It sounds like it'll be a fun weekend, and so far as I know, I should be here.
Anyway, my pal Laura Shapiro may be known to some folks--she's a fan and a fantastic vidder, and just awesomely cool. And she's offered very generously to put together a show of fanvids if people would be interested in that. Also she'd love to meet Buffistas in person--she's much with the socializing.
She was thinking of a bunch of good vids in a variety of fandoms, followed by a showing of Scooby Road by Luminosity, which is the entirety of Abbey Road set to the full run of Buffy. It's really fucking fantastic, I have to say.
Anyway, I don't know if the entire weekend is booked up or what, but would people be interested in that sort of thing? I remember from the LA F2F that we did have some fun with fanvids at one point.
WHOOT! Fanvids! I haven't really seen any since the LA F2F!
I'd definitely be interested in that, Consuela (which I am sure comes as a BIG shock to you). Let me know if you want help organizing, or a dvd player or anything.

Damn, now I REALLY wish I could come.
Damn, Plei, I wish you were too. I think Lum had put Scooby Road up on her website: I don't know if it's still there.
Have you not met Laura yet?
Oh, I have Scooby Road.
I've just never met Laura.

Can we add this to the to-do list for this weekend?
I've just never met Laura.
Clearly this must be rectified. You'd like her a lot; she's just one of the best people around. Insightful and generous and funny and not falsely modest but not arrogant. And squeeful. And sane!
