Sparky, you have the current cell, yes? the one that ends in '97?'
edit: whoops. Make that ends in "17". Bev, you were right.

Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon: San Francisco, May 19-21, 2006! Everything else, go here! Swag!

I do have the new one, so it's all good.
how far out is the Oakland airport, if one were to fly there for the F2F?
Nora, there's a shuttle from Oakland airport straight to BART. And the Civic Center joint BART/MUNI station is exactly half a block north of the hotel.

It's easy access from the Oakland airport to SF proper. Just hop on a BART train and bingo marzipan! You're there.
ROCK.

Also, I'm hoping to take F2F Friday off for general purposes of welcoming, set-up and slounging, and I would have no problem at all with making a run out to either SFO or the Oakland Airport to pick up incoming Buffistas.
But, yeah, from the Oakland Airport to BART is very easy.
Like JZ, I am also available for stuff and things, although the Thursday will probably be me ensconced firmly at the HICC, getting the hospitality suite set up, food together, making sure erika's hooked up with her personal hotel person, etc etc etc.
Nora, I live 10 minutes from the Oakland airport....

That's good to know -- it's almost $200 cheaper for me to fly into Oakland. (The downside being that there are no direct flights, unlike flying into SFO. And I may decide I hate flying enough to spend the extra cash...we'll see.)
