Overwhelming? How much more than whelming would that be exactly?

Our wings are not tired.

Sometime before the end of year I'll gather all the info together and put up a page with all the links and such. I think I've done this every year! Whee!

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Hell yes. San Francisco it is.

Yay!!!

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

Vortex will be in town early to help me as sous-chef.

does the dance of sous cheffing, which involves much shaking of the boobies.

Huh. I might actually make it to a F2F. Mohammed, mountain.....

does the dance of Juliana at the F2F, which is similar to the sous chef dance, but more booty shaking.

Hell yes. San Francisco it is.
does the dance of Fay at the F2F, which is the shaking of the boobies, booty shaking, and not a few obscene gyrations

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Hell yes. San Francisco it is.

Right on!

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

appreciating all Vortex's dances, and by appreciate I mean.....

Depending on where I am financially, I might want to spend Saturday night at the hotel, but I am willing to be one of the crash spaces for the other nights.

It really doesn't matter. It's just an opinion. Don't worry about it. Not worth the hassle.

I should have all the "make reservations now, here's your special code" info in my e-folder. Want me to check? Anne, it's blocked-out time, thanks to angelic Laura and her letting us use her spotless credit (my own credit looks like the unholy love child of an apaloosa and a dalmatian), so we ought to be able to go and start any time.

I'm thinking I won't stay at the hotel Saturday night unless the money's in pocket, and I won't have a clue about that until much closer to the time; we're saving hard for two weeks next summer, because I want to go back to Arezzo and then to Paris, with a day or two in London. Luckily, no hotel bills in London (family flat in Bromley) but still hellapricey, a trip like that.

OK, Anne, and whoever wants this info now - from my email attachment:

"RESERVATION PROCEDURE

We have two options for your attendees to make a reservation:

  • Call the Hotel reservations department at 1-800-243-1135. To receive the contract rates, the attendees should request the name of the group: Buffistas.
  • Attendees may also reserve their contract rate on-line through a reservation link to our website that will be provided to you after return of your signed contract.

All reservations should be made by April 16, 2006. After this date, we will release the remainder of your guest room block. Additional reservation requests will be honored on a space and rate available basis."

BTW, for people low on cash, there are a number of triple to quad occupancy rooms available at $119 per night, with a $20 per extra person surcharge. So, if my admittedly crap math skills are at all functioning, four people can share one of the big rooms for just about $40 a night each as the base rate. Hard to beat.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Though, sadly, as things stand now, not from me. My niece is getting married that weekend in Connecticut.

Blow it off. It's not like she came to yours.

Thanks for the info, Deb!

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Are there any plans for New Year's Eve amongst SF-ers?
