"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

There will be a place within walking distance of the hotel where one can buy sour cream and fresh veggies, right?

The Ferry Building is a short F-Market train ride away. Also the Farmer's Market at Civic Center.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

Jon, tell Ms. FAQ to look for a package, probably from Amazon, after Christmas.

Thanks Deb. I'm sure she'll love it!

It really doesn't matter. It's just an opinion. Don't worry about it. Not worth the hassle.

Not to mention that I'm happy to shove Matt into Ripper's passenger seat and take him to Whole Foods or the Rainbow Coop or the local Asian markets or anywhere he wants to buy comestibles.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Huh. I might actually make it to a F2F. Mohammed, mountain.....

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Yay!

(Of course, I might not, but that's okay)

I'm getting the pig!

How come, Perkins? That's horrible news!

Oh, it's still very tentative, but there is a chance I might have to be elsewhere for family stuff.

No, no, we're already losing Jon to family stuff, damn it!

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

It could happen. I'm planning a trip to the US around that time, and I want to drop in on Old Blighty too. And his lovely wife...Naturally, I have no cape, because I listen to the advice of the experts.

FanTAStic! (I know, I know...capes are a one-way ticket to splatterdom. But my cape is so shiny! And it's reversible! And it flaps in a menacing fashion!)

Re F2F - sod it. I've checked out flyfromegypt dot com and I'm going to start saving. When the hell else am I going to be in a position where I *don't* have a class who will be disturbed by my absence midway through the term? I'm entitled to at least one personal day, and then I can take a couple of days of unpaid leave.

Hell yes. San Francisco it is.
