It really doesn't matter. It's just an opinion. Don't worry about it. Not worth the hassle.

I totally want to meet lisah.

yay, Deb in town! For Saturday- there's no Kate Book obligations?

What are folks up for? Dinner, then (I think) soiree at Jon's? Lunch stuff? Shopping? Sightseeing?

I think we need a list, with phone numbers. DX pinged me with some info, and a phone number, and now I want all sorts of phone numbers, damn it, and people to see. Cindy, and VW, Nora and Tom, and Emily, and Theodosia, and Victor and Lea and who am I missing?

I just sent an email to the Somerville list (cc-ing deb) with some thoughts for places to eat on Saturday night. It's by no means an extensive list, and I invite anyone with any thoughts to jump in and give feedback.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

Wacky x-post, Nora. All your suggestions are good ones.

I wish I could come! I've been meaning to get to Boston for a while now, but there's no way it'll work out this weekend. Have fun!

Morning, all.

Just emailed the list - and Nora, Jon, can we add Vortex to the email chain? She's coming up from DC, which makes me all the way happy.

Oh, man, the Illuminations. It's been so. damned. long. since I saw Boston.

x-posted to the somerville email list:

It seems that folks are unsure about dinner availability, which might be a bit dodgy trying to get a table for a large group of people on a Saturday night. Do folks on the fence know when you will know if dinner is in the cards? Is there a timing issue? For example if we make a reservation at 6 or 7 pm, does that help with firming up plans?

Could you everyone let me know, either to the list or to me directly if you are planning on going to dinner? And if you prefer Sabur or Elephant Walk? And what time would be good for you?

So far, here's the list of definite yes's: Deb (and Nick?) Jon and FAQ Wife Nora and Tom

Maybes: Sarah and Dave Victor and Thessaly

Probably nots: vw

And I haven't heard back from anyone else...

(though, I realized that yahoo was flagging these emails as spam shortly after we started the conversation on Monday, so I may have missed some before I fixed the problem.)

Please indulge my Type-A event planner personality and let me know what you think. It's a bit tough to get a group of more than 4 sat down for dinner on a Saturday night, so I think some advance planning would be good.

I am hoping to make a reservation by Friday at the latest.
