Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

Monday would be OK for me, as would Tuesday. This weekend's out though. We've got company.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Monday's good for me too, I think.

Since I'm woefully behind in Natter, I'll wish you "happy birthday" here, CaBil. (It is Guy Fawkes Day, isn't it?)

It really doesn't matter. It's just an opinion. Don't worry about it. Not worth the hassle.

Woot! Look's like the Boston/NY trip is on, from 7 December - assuming I can pull the airfare and a bed together - is on. Just heard back from Clea Simon and Kate, at Kate's Mystery Bookstore, wants us to sign during the store's big holiday party, on the 9th.

What I'm thinking is to fly out of SF on 7 December, be in Boston until Sunday night or Monday morning, and be in NY until Wednesday.

Jon! Is that offer still open?

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

Jon! Is that offer still open?

Yes. We might be out the evening of Dec. 7, 6pm onward, so there may be some logistical issues when you arrive, but we can figure something out.

No problem - I can hook up with people for dinner, I imagine, and take it from there. All the way flexible, basically.

You two rock! And I'll see about bringing something nummy to eat, as a thank-you.
