I'm sorry, dad. You know I would never have tried to save River's life if I had known there was a dinner party at risk.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Yay! I missed the den of laptops last night, but I had Angelino's Pasquale talking Tuscany with Deb and Nic, and Tuscan cooking with Deb on the sidewalk outside the restaurant, after a superb meal and an ambrosial dessert (no, I don't remember the names. The dessert was "the first one" on the dessert menu), watching the sun light up windows in SF proper, and the land shade darker as the sky pinked with sunset, and then fade to blue-black. I got to ride across the Golden Gate after dark, and ride along to feed southcats. I got to stroke Cami and pick up Copy, more than once. And then I watched while Nic and Deb fed the "regulars," racoons and cats, in the park before getting back to chez Grabien. I set up my "bedroom" and stayed up till oh-late-thirty catching up in LJ and elsewhere, and then slept like a really sleepy sleeping thing.

And this morning I used Deb's one-one to make coffee, and actually had BOTH kittens cuddling in my arms at once a few minutes ago. Life? Pretty good right now.

I'm getting the pig!

Laura, we missed H but -t's father was there and he was incredibly wonderful to all of us intruders. I should've gotten a picture of him also.

Kitty and kitten pics will be posted later tonight. I have some great pics of most of the Grabien Feline Clan. A few special shots of Rupert for Jilli. Gad hasn't been camera cooperative as of yet.

A few special shots of Rupert for Jilli.

Yay! That will make my so-far-unfun day better.

Herding cats for fun

-t's Dad is OF THE COOL and has the best mustache too. Remember how much we liked Jin's dad? (Alla youse girls who knew that River’s teacher is also Walt's mom will get that one, hee). Plus Walter the (kind of dog I can’t remember) is skinny and fringey and freckled, all cheerfulness and energy and that special total dedicated canine devotion. He didn't really trust us when we came stomping in en masse, but after we’d watched him patrolling the yard and chasing the cats under the deck and petted his ears and had tea, he felt much better about us.

The floors were shiny. The music was fun, especially when Princess Em got to make a big noise banging on the guitar strings for awhile. She had lots of fun with all the Buffista Aunties, who never let her feet touch the floor and decided she’s probably destined for a career in infamy and fashion when she becomes MM’s evil lil hench baby.

Maidengurl: eternal gratitude for the ride home! Smooches.

Off for one more dinner at Pasta Pomodoro with our visitors. Beverly, Nicole, SailAweigh – it has been so great to have you here for the weekend. Next time let's go to the aquarium. I can hardly believe my décor is now available on the Internet.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

Well, I had my last hugs with Bev, Nicole, and Sail...plus "just cause" hugs from Katie and Lee. They head out at o'dark thirty tomorrow morning.

I had so much fun this weekend, it was fantastic having a last bit of a visit. Nicole - K-bug says "poke".

I'm getting the pig!

A bunch of pics from today. Mostly of Deb's kitties, I admit. Hec, you might want to pass this time. Jilli, however, will want to click here asap if she wants to see handsome Rupert.

Spent a good part of the day at Deb's and then took a trip to Maidengurl's to check out her home and corrupt her children. Turns out we were too late on the latter.

Only two pics from dinner with the whole group (at the end) but I believe Sail took a few more and should be along shortly.

It really doesn't matter. It's just an opinion. Don't worry about it. Not worth the hassle.

KITTIES!

That's Mallory and Rupert on the balance beam. Beautimous felines! And pretty ladies, as well.

Ahhh, there is photographic evidence of my "other kids" in addition to K-Bug, aka BRAT.

The kittens are adorable.
