F2F 3: Who's Bringing the Guacamole?
Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon: San Francisco, May 19-21, 2006! Everything else, go here! Swag!
brenda, is it worth giving that a shot? As in "Guys? It's September. 'Tentative' doesn't fly. Yes or no, definite, I need a date, because I have something I'd like to do and I can't plan until we have it firmed it up here, and honestly, if 'tentative' turns into 'no fun for me', I'm-a be wicked pissy (lordy, I want to send Debet cookies for that ohrase). Decide yea or nay by the end of the week or I'm out of it, period."
Or would that not work with the people in question?

Oh my god, if only it were that simple. And the thing is - it's not just a weekend away. It's visas, and probably $1000+ plane tix, and insanity, and I'm tearing my hair out, but I've already said about all I can without there being lasting fallout.
Mind you, if I become any more convinced that someone I love is on the verge of doing something really, really stupid and fucking up his life but good, I'ma put a smackdown and deal with the fallout whatever comes. But it's not
quite
at that stage.
Man, it sounds messy. I'm sorry, bebe. I hate those situations.
Will keep fingers crossed. It would be superb if you could make it.
For those that were possibly looking at flights for SF at the end of the month, check prices again today. At least as far as expedia.com is concerned, if I'd waited another week to buy, I could've saved about $100. Grrr!
It looks like United Airlines is only listing their direct flights at discounted prices three weeks prior to the actual flight. Something to keep in mind.
Well, shucks. That must hold true for me, too!
AirTran started a sale today.
Deb, all the
making it through it all
vibeage in the world headed your way. You are in my thoughts.
Thanks, everyone. It's been about as bleak as it gets today, but I did get downtown with the signed contract, and Sheila has it, so we're on for next May and good to go. And Laura, bless you for being so on top of it; she's really happy to have everything she needed within a week of the notification that SF had won the bid.
Off to put together a bag of clothes or nine for JZ, who's supplies collecting for St. Vincent du Paul in Houston for the evacuees.
My 89-year old mother's reading Famous Flower right now, Deb, and loving it. She says, the Buffy person you know sure can write!
Andi and I are both free Halloween weekend.
I suppose I should subscribe here until then, so we know what's going on...
I was born on Halloween, so a F2F is like an early present.
