Biloxi, too. Because it's "like Africa hot" and why would Matthew Broderick lie?

F2F 3: Who's Bringing the Guacamole?
Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon: San Francisco, May 19-21, 2006! Everything else, go here! Swag!
As we've now had a second freak heat wave in May par-broiling conflicting with a f2f location, I think it might be a good thing to include in the general planning assumptions though.
Yep. San Francisco had a heat wave in fricking July this year. This is our chilliest time of year, generally. But there have been enough drastic weirdness changes in climate and weather that these days, snow in August wouldn't surprise me. So I'm nodding along with Matt. We have to consider the weather in re the ease of a large number of people moving around.
I'm remembering that wait for the bus in Vegas, and not fondly. I got on the bus, rubbed my lips, and a mass of skin came off. That's how damned hot and dry it was.
so ... F2Fs prove that global warming is a fact?
It *is* a lot of HAWT in one spot.
By the way - the Buffista babies have totally spoiled me. I'm so used to seeing pictures of bright-eyed, alert, obviously intelligent babies that when I see ordinary babies I wonder what's wrong with them. Happened the other day ....
Is Flex like Zipcar?
Yep, I think so.
t unhelpful I'm thinking driving is not an option for me to Phoenix, SF, Vegas, or Seattle. Fly girl is me. t /unhelpful

Eeek. This is me in dry climates. I have a terrible sore throat the entire time I am in LA.
I have a terrible sore throat the entire time I am in LA.
And Vegas is, oh, about seven jillion times as dry as LA. High desert; there are days when the humidity level is, literally, zero.
That's scarily arid.
Happens here too, of course. Spent too much time in it to be freaked, though.
I'm the total opposite, I can deal with the really arid, but when I'm in humid weather and I end up sweating I end up with body parts chafing and am just totally uncomfortable all the time. I hate hate hate the feeling of being sticky and covered in sweat, so arid is my friend.
