You know what the chain of command is? It's the chain I go get and beat you with until you understand who's in ruttin' command here.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

a big Buffista multiple marriage

I would love a huge group wedding with Elvis officiating.

It really doesn't matter. It's just an opinion. Don't worry about it. Not worth the hassle.

Fay, I would marry you in a heartbeat, but due to an earlier experience in my life, I am no longer willing to share men named Nicholas with other women. Alas....

Tom got me thinking, and I made a discovery - I really do want a decent hotel. I've stayed in a Motel Six (up in the Gold Country, in Grass Valley) and got virtually no sleep; the walls were cardboard. At 51, with MS, I value my creature comforts. So I want really comfortable beds, rooms with decent bathrooms, in a safe area, without, say, crowds of drunk people under my window, waking me up at three in the morning.

And yeah, I know - not an issue for me in SF. But it is in Seattle, or any other city that might host one of these. If Vegas winds up winning, for instance, no matter what the hotel is, we'll head straight for the Bellagio.

So yep, I'm a creature comforts good hotel woman. Goes back to rock and roll days.

Also, seriously? I suspect the nearest Motel 6 is probably only about ten bucks a night less than the Miyako.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Vortex, did you mean lusciously or lasciviously? Not that both don't work, of course.

Deb, that hotel looks absolutely delish. I'm mostly lurking here, b/c the chances I will go are teensy, but damn if these options aren't very tempting.

I'm in on the wedding, if, you know, thef2fisinVegasandFaygoesandIgo. ::sigh:: Stoopid reality.

"You see? THAT's what they want. Love, and a bit with a dog."

Pshaw, you guys are doing it all wrong!

We go to Vegas, and I'm marrying a stranger.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

A stranger stranger, or could you marry someone you met on your trip there?

sorry, I was gobsmacked at the thought of marrying Fay, and couldn't make my brain work. I was, and am, looking lasciviously.

"You see? THAT's what they want. Love, and a bit with a dog."

Hmmm. It's an interesting question.

I suppose just so long as they're new to me it's all good.

Bonus points if I don't remember their name the next day.

I can't even.

Bonus points for the use of gobsmacked!

I'm feeling a touch like a kid told to wait outside the wedding candy store as a non-girl and a non-boy/boy boy, but I suppose I should just suck it up as someone who A) was married once and, 2) lives in a jurisdiction where anyone can marry anyone they want any old time, even if the Elvis says eh?, here.

Still, foaminess. Sigh.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?
