I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

t beams over to Phoenix

This is a gentle ping to inform folks that I'll be hosting peeps in my city for Hallowe'en this year, and to remind those who've said they're coming to start planning to plan. Anyone who wants to visit is welcome.

Back to the NOLA planning, while I try not to seethe with envy.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Hey, I've gotten no requests for co-ordination. Everyone really has their transportation worked out?

tommyrot, if you still need a ride, I can pick you up if you get in after 4 or so. Looking at amtrak.com, assuming you are coming in on the City of New Orleans, you are scheduled to arrive at 3:32. Every time I've taken the train for a substantial ttrip, my actual arrival was later than the scheduled arrival, so I think it's safe to say I can pick you up. If you don't mind waiting for 20-30 minutes, you can call my cell when you arrive - you can avoid waiting by calling me 20 minutes before you actually arrive, if you can figure that out, I guess. Or you can take a cab, it's probably be less than $5 to the St. Louis from the station, it's only (google) 1.6 miles. Let me know if you want a ride at my profile address.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

By the way - for those who are feeling glitter-deprived, I have a whole unopened box of sparkly pink dusting powder ... and I'm willing to share. Also willing to offer a room for primping purposes ... not an entirely altruistic offer - I may need help with my dress.
