I'll call the people I know down there Aimee and see if someone doesn't have one. Though most of their kids are older or they don't have any.
I'll be in Shreveport at least Tuesday and Wednesday nights, and then will probably head down Thursday though depending on things could be Friday. In anycase, I'll be there by Friday afternoon.
Fucking hell. The price on my flight has dropped by almost a hundred and fifty dollars since I bought it. They're sending me a voucher, but jeez. I'd rather just have the money, thanks so much.
Thanks, Heather. I totally appreciate it.
Looks like I'm going to have to cancel on dinner Friday night at Commander's as well. I may not get into NO until late on Friday and don't want to commit to dinner and then not make it.
There's a chance I may still get into town on Thursday at some point, but I'd rather cancel and just grab something simple and local to the hotel rather than stress about the dinner reservation.
Hello all...
[Oops! Ignore this edit. Wrong haunted restaurant.]
On that note, anyone who's going to be around Thursday night up for the Vampire tour?? It seems appropriate... [link]
(fair warning: the Vampire Tour link has really annoying cheesy Halloween cackling audio)
I'm going to go on one of the ghost tours on Wednesday, I think. I adore walking tours; it's one of the things I did constantly when I was in London. There's a list of French Quarter tours in general here: [link]
Also, would still love to do the zoo/cruise thing Friday late morning...

if we can get 10 people for the reduced rate.
Why yes, I am packing 30 years of expectations about New Orleans into a few short days, why do you ask?
The ghost tour I took when I was there in January was fantastic -- we picked them because the company really emphasized the talents of their storytellers, and we were not disappointed. I'm trying to find a link...
Oo, thanks Jess!
Also, old and new F2Fers...kicking your butts about checking the menu and chiming in...see Press...

The Vampire tour definitely sounds appropriate.
I would love to do the zoo/cruise thing, but we won't be in on time.
I can bring some appropriate DVD's for Saturday and Sunday morning cartoons. Will we have a coffee pot in the HS? No doubt Brendon will be willing to go and fetch donuts and bagels. I'm thinking it is unlikely he will lounge about in his jammies though.
Did we have a local or driving person bringing a DVD player? I can toss the itty bitty one I use in the van in my luggage if we need it.
It's May!! I'm getting excited now.
Ghosts, vampires, cemetaries. It's all good. I will bring my walking shoes.
