1. I may have to back out of Commander's Palace due to a severe lack of funds.
ETA: Cancel the "may". I need to do the smart thing and just back out. I will do a low-grade alternative that night if anyone else wants to take a cheaper option.
2. I don't think I can wrangle us out of the Prom room, so we need to raise a lot more money soon, especially since I need to set the cocktail and food menu soon.
Kristin, my home e-mail's been a little wonky, so I couldn't contact you that way (I know you were away for a bit anyway).
Did you still want the tape with the EYES premiere? I have it ready to go if you do. I liked it. I've caught up with roughly half the eps, but the tape only has the first two, so I can send it out if you want it.
eta, I did get the e-mail with your address, so I don't need that again, I just want to know if I should bother sending, or if you decided not to watch it (or found an alternate source).
Kristin, Brendon would be just as pleased if we skipped the Commander's Palace and checked out the hotel restaurant, or something that involved hot and spicy cajun fare. I can add the $ saved to my check to ND, which is going out Today finally.
Hey Krisitin, never got an answer as to whether I should keep my room as not to screw up the block, or cancel and put the money in the fund?
Steph, cancel the room and stick the money in the general fund, I'd say. Very generous of you to do that, btw.
Frank, sure, send it along.
Laura, sounds good. We'll find a nice low-budget alternative.
This might be the time to remind people that I plan to go to O'Flaherty's Irish Pub on Friday night for some music-listening. Anyone not going to Commander's is welcome to come.
Anyone not going to Commander's is welcome to come.
The dinner reservations are for 6 and 7pm. When were you going to be at O'Flaherty's?
Um, I'm not sure. Let me check the performance calendar.
Performance starts at 8. Anyone's welcome to drop in, of course. I'll be in the Ballad Room, which is no smoking, no talking while the performer's on stage. There's also a courtyard, a bar area where you can drink and smoke and talk, and (if it's still there) an upstairs room where you can smoke and talk and listen to the musician.
Kristin - should be in the mail tonight.
Oh, and the other thing I saw on the O'Flaherty's website is that there's no cover. It used to be a $5 cover to get in to the ballad room. I assume they still have the same drink policy, which is that they ask you to buy one drink per set. The sets are fairly long, and things like "Coke" do count as a drink.
