Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Hil, since you're here, and this is a vaguely travel-related question, can you recommend a good vegetarian restaurant (or restaurant with copious vegetarian options) in DC?

Any particular kind of food? I don't know any totally vegetarian restaurants, but just about anywhere in Dupont, and most places in Georgetown, will have at least a few vegetarian options.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

I love Scola's bar updates.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Your pub blows, Tom. Ours does it the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Mondays of the month. Sometimes even the 5th.

Our wings are not tired

The 20th is the Third Monday in December. Do we have a winner?

No, I do not. But I play trivia.

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

Honestly, I have no idea. Some friends of DH's parents (who are vegetarian -- the friends, not my in-laws) are going to be down there over Thanksgiving, and we're all probably going out to dinner Wednesday night, and I thought maybe I should have some suggestions. Probably the easiest solution is just to leave it in DH's brother's hands.

It really doesn't matter. It's just an opinion. Don't worry about it. Not worth the hassle.

Just a quickie in the new thread to let Billytea and Lee know that I expect to start carving turkeys sometime between half past two and a quarter past three on Thursday. There will also be homemade bread, and petit pois in butter, and gravy, and roast garlic mashed potatoes, and deepdish mushroom pie, and two kinds of cranberry sauce, and bubbly and nonbubbly wine, and some of the yum desserts, including one chapeau noir and one either homemade apple pie or homemade tarte tatin. There will also be eggnog with clouds, and brandy and cognac on the side, with which to lace your individual drink.
