Up with the sun

Kristin, ND, I just wanted to chime in with thanks. I really appreciate all of your work on this F2F.

(And I'm thinking I won't be there myself. Sorry. The finances and timing just won't work as well as I would have hoped. Drink a frozen Irish coffee for me.)

(But, because I am Queen of Dithering, I might still change my mind, especially if we get a nice windfall from our tax return.)

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

I was beginning to wonder if I'm wearing anti-foamy perfume or something.

Your perfume is totally foamy. In fact, that's what it's called: Foamy, by Kristin.

Same here. I'm probably not going, but if something happens to free up my finances a bit, and I can still find a cheap enough flight, I might.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Kristin, thanks again for heading this up. I do think reducing the block is the right choice.

JZ and I won't be able to attend this year. (I'm sorry Heather!) It's very disappointing, but EM's been out of work since last June and paying all Emmett's expenses solo has been a big hit to the money. Also, as of January, I got nailed for my college loans which has been an even bigger financial hardship. And now I'm on the hook for all the summer expenses (with various deposits already due), large commuting expenses, fixing the car etc. Basically we just don't have any discretionary funds for such a trip. However, we do have enough to help contribute to the kitty. I know JZ has kicked in some, and I'll be making a bigger contribution once I get some clearance.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Okay, I vote for a moratorium on "I'm not coming" posts, on the grounds that they're upsetting. People who will be there, start posting!

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I'll be there.

I'm a'gonna take a train.
