we did have someone step forward to be our coordinator for airport arrivals and such, correct?
Correct. That'd be me. I'll be watching here for posted arrival times and requests for transportation help, and checking my profile address.
I think I have a pile of 3x5 cards sitting around not doing anything. Possibly also dry erase pens. I can certainly assemble supplies if necessary, and I'd be more than happy to help set up the hospitality suite. I'll have to check on DVD player availability, I'm not sure what the cabling situation is with mine. I have a few guidebooks, and we can probably get a bunch from
t memfault
the place that used to be Kaldi's that has all the maps and tourguides and things. It's, like, official, a clearinghouse of information for tourists. Next time I'm downtown I'll swing by and see what they have.
I just bought a Lonely Planet NOLA guidebook which I will be bringing as well. I can bring other office supplies too or buy them when I get down there. I'm coming early as well to make sure all is ready, though I have an early damn flight on Sunday (feh. work) to get back in time for school Monday.
Marvin has still not gotten back to me after two email inquiries, so I'm about to call to find out what the deal is. I'll post as soon as I hear where we are.
It's looking less and less like I'm going to be able to make it this year, unfortunately, but I'll try to contribute to the food & drink fund anyway.
We will miss you Jessica!!!
In other F2F news not related to NO, it looks like I'll be back in NYC for a week at the end of April.
Perkins will be in NYC about that time, too.
ND, do we PayPal to your profile address for the travel fund?
Prom/Food/Travel fund info is on the page Laura set up here.
Yes, all paypal stuff goes to stagesound at earthlink dot net and just let me know in the comments which fund it should go into.
