Well, they do keep the rainforest exhibit at about 99% humidity, so not that different from outside.
It's one room!
Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon: San Francisco, May 19-21, 2006! Everything else, go here! Swag!

I think you can buy either one way or roundtrip tickets on the boat (the John Jay Audubon). I've taken it from the zoo to the aquarium and it's a different view of New Orleans than you usually get, it really gives a sense of the working port-ness. Aquarium+boat+zoo+boat is a full day. If you just want a quick ride on the river, the ferry is free to pedestrians and yields some nice views.
I feel I should point out that the Aquarium is where they keep the penguins, and there is a pretty nifty Mississippi River exhibit. Aside from the air conditioning, which is sometimes enough to make me want to go there. The zoo has a pretty good swamp exhibit with albino alligators and shade and concession stands selling gumbo and so forth, as well as the more typical monkeys, etc.
Who among us does not enjoy monkeys?!
Gus.
The zoo also had a nifty seal show the last time I was there.
Okay, really really really want to go, but... too many people are getting married (I'm going to end up going to Michigan three times this year). Money will only stretch so far. I'll miss you guys and your crazy ways! Think of me!
Sniff. Emily likes the Michiganders better than us.
YOU GET HER ALL THE TIME!

No! But... my mother... and then there's the other person, and I went to her first wedding, I wanna go to her second one. Cause I have a good feeling about this one.
I just got e-mail from LUSH on the new NO store, it'll be approx 4 blocks from the St. Louis.
