Lilty, I'll sit in the sad corner with you. I just did my taxes the other night, and not only am I not getting the refund I had expected, but--for the first time--I owe money. Kind of a lot. I'm not totally fucked, since I've been saving up money for travelling, so at least I can pay, but it means I don't have any fun money anymore.
Maybe we can have our own little mini-F2F the same weekend? You can drive down to Northampton, we'll wander the streets in our corsets and boots, we'll eat at the fabulous Tibetan restaurant, and then we'll go back to my place and watch DVDs. Whaddya say?
Kate! That would be spectacular, as long as I've got the time off that weekend. Since I still have my bucket of change that was specifically earmarked with no exceptions to put me on a plane, I've downsized vacations to one with a dirt cheap flight that will be otherwise free, due to extreme couch sleeping and pantry rummaging. (And I get to see U2!)
It's just an emotional roller coaster in here.
Anyone want to be my date for a show I've got opening this Saturday?

Oh, I'd love to go.
I'm working, though. Is it the new one at the Colony? Are they doing a preview this week?
Also, I suppose that, since we're in the middle of the emotional roller coaster, this is as good a time to announce this as any....
I prolly won't be going to New Orleans this year. Aside from issues of money, I'll likely be working that weekend on two different projects. If I had the money, I could probably swing the weekend off from both gigs, but it's just too many forces conspiring against, I think.
Feh.
The Imperial Family won't be making it either. Two more trips to Michigan are required this year.
Aimee, will one of the trips be during the summer? Perhaps while I'm at Interlochen?
