The frame.

Got a question about technology? Ask it here. Discussion of hardware, software, TiVos, multi-region DVDs, Windows, Macs, LINUX, hand-helds, iPods, anything tech related. Better than any helpdesk!
I vote frame, too.
I used opera for about three years before Firefox came out and was stable enough that I was willing to look at switching. Now that I've gone the way of extensions, I don't know if I'd go back--a big factor of the switch was how much of my resources Opera commanded, but really, the way I use it, Firefox is just as bad about it now.
If I right click on the bar, I can choose to turn the links back on. I'm not sure why this happens some times and not others, or why the bar seems to be invisibile until the point where I'm tearing my hair out. Perhaps something can be done with Preferences?
No, though I know what you're talking about--if it was that and not, as I think it might be, an errant registry value, I'd be able to load buffistas. Or google. It's getting nothing at all, after it had been loading everything fine.
I was thinking, Gud, of double-booting, and hanging on to Windows mostly for iTunes. I haven't seen anything to suggest that iTunes would run, though if it did, it would be awesome.
I'd say frame too.
Here is a link to the Wine entry on iTunes.
Sounds a bit complicated. Apparently some people have been able to get authorization to work too as there is a screen shot and a comment to that effect. Doesn't sound like it runs great.
I'd say frame too.
It turned out to be the engine block and frame. Which means I need a vice and chisel to get the clamp (that attaches to the frame) off the old cable, strip a section of the new cable (near the battery) and put the clamp on there, or else buy some sort of clampy thing for this purpose. The cable terminates on the block, so that part is just a simple bolt.
Oh well. For now I got the old cable to work. (In addition to being all old and stuff, the battery terminal clamp is now broke where the bolt goes through it.)
Well, I finally managed to reset my password. Now certain applications keep asking me for a keychain password and I keep cancelling until they go away and I can keep using the app. I swear to god, I hate computers.
No, computers hate you, sarameg :) Here's the fix: [link]
I'll try that. I don't have 10.4 (this is what prompted this whole exercise) but hopefully it won't matter.
Yep, should be fine. I think some of the options may look slightly different, but the priniple remains the same.
I want to thank y'all for the advice. I did *something* slightly different than the exact directions, but it worked. Can you believe I work in a tech field and troubleshoot software? (One of my problems, and strengths, is that I just try *everything* at random and am not so good with learning any more than necessary. But I rarely keep track of what I'm doing. I'm fearless, but that leads to a lack of reproducibility. )
