I'm a single undead gal trying to make it in the big city. I have to start somewhere and they're evil here. They don't judge. They've got necro-tempered glass. No burning up. A great medical plan, and who needs dental more than us?

Our wings are not tired

Dude, I'd make a Frankenbox merit badge for this if you didn't already own the category.

That made me grin.

All is well that ends in pizza.

So, what should I do with the three old kaypro machines in my mom's garage?

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Set 'em up as Linux dual boots. That'll earn you a merit badge for sure.

Okay, despite downloading and installing EasyUbuntu, Totem is still not liking any of the video and audio mp3s I try to play through the Internet.

Now, the download page for EasyUbuntu told me to run two commands from the terminal, which I just copied and pasted, but I wonder if I'm still doing something wrong, or if there's things I need to do with Firefox.

Coding and Sleeping

You might just want to use the link I gave you a few posts back. I didn't use Easy Ubuntu, but I used that guide and things work well for me.

Yeah, I figured that would probably be the next step.

Also, does anyone (::cough::amych::cough::) use a livejournal client on Ubuntu?

And while we're at it, what's the difference between GNOME and KDE? Pros, cons? Discuss. Oh, and.... is it possible to run both? I only ask there because some of the games I downloaded are for KDE and don't work right under GNOME (apparently), so now I'm ever more curious.

Politics.

If you have all the right libraries installed, you can run a KDE app under Gnome and vice-versa.

Aha! Good to know. But I'll have to play with that later, as I actually plan on using today to work on some long overdue writing projects.
