Hey, don't worry about it. Nest full of vampires, you come get me, okay. Box full of puppies, that's more of a judgement call.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Look for the penguin label
when you are buying that OS or mouse.
Remember somewhere our penguin's coding,
our wages going to buy the herring for the house.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

it's still Linux, right?

That's what my kernel tells me, anyway.

I want to know if there's a merit badge for converting your dual-boot to Linux (or FreeBSD) only.

Almost certainly.

brillig

I have recently upgraded my Win98 to WinXP. I was running with only the Windows Firewall so I probably picked up some computer social disease, but multiple scans with multiple products have not picked up anything. However, I can no longer click on File in any folder window or in Windows Explorer, nor can I right-click on the folders or the Windows desktop. Is this going to relatively easy to fix or should I just go back to Win98 which I understand?

(I need to not spend valuable work time making up merit badge requirements for the Geek Scouts.)

(The rest of us need you to do exactly that, so we know what merit badges we qualify for, and which we need to work towards)

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

The requirements for the actual BSA Computers badge include:

8. Is it permissible to accept a free copy of a computer game or program from a friend? Why or why not?

I want to know if "Duh - all my software is open source!" is an official BSA acceptable answer. (or, really, I probably don't...)

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

I can no longer click on File in any folder window or in Windows Explorer, nor can I right-click on the folders or the Windows desktop.

Connie, have you tried rebooting the machine yet? I've never had that exact problem, but once in a while I've seen similar weirdness that vanished upon restarting.
