I'm not sure Apple retail locations use pens that come from other manufacturers, let alone selling things.

Got a question about technology? Ask it here. Discussion of hardware, software, TiVos, multi-region DVDs, Windows, Macs, LINUX, hand-helds, iPods, anything tech related. Better than any helpdesk!
Well, they sell cameras, printers, hard drives, software, speakers, headphones, etc. that they don't make....
Say, like the ones from www.agent18.com?
Is that the solid plastic one? My Apple store has those, as well as a couple other kinds.

Yep, the solid clear plastic one. Hmmm, I guess I'll have to call the local Apple store.
I have one of those, which I did purchase at the Apple store.
So my dvd player, which is only a year old, has stopped working. I put a disk in, and it sits there and thinks and thinks, and then it spits it out. It's a Philips and I paid about $60 for it. Is it worth trying to get it repaired (no I didn't get the warranty, yes I probably should have), or should I just take it to the electronics recycling center and buy a new one to replace it?
I can't imagine a repair will cost much less than $50. I'd just get a new one.
It's sad how disposable these electronic components have become.
It's a crime, really. As an environmentalist, I feel bad -- on the other hand, the recycling center will probably fix it and resell it.
Huh. I had no idea such a thing existed. Probably way cheaper than replacing the unit, too. Thanks, Tom!
