I've had good luck with RiData DVDs from newegg.com
Typically I've used Bluefish for editing PHP files in Linux but it's not an IDE. I'd suggest going to gnomefiles.org and searching for 'PHP' to get a bunch of choices. The various programs have ratings to help out the choice. Naturally you are only to get GTK based programs, there is kde-apps.org for KDE programs.
Bah. Might as well use edlin....
(kidding)
Did you know edlin is still around? It's available in Windows XP, even.
Maybe even Vista.
Scary.
I used pico and vi a lot.
Thanks to friends who are very sneaky, I am now the proud owner of a video iPod. (eeeeee!) I'm
assuming
that I'm not going to be able to just pop a DVD into the computer and export the movie to the iPod. Am I wrong? Or is there a program I should install on my laptop to do this?
There are tutorials at ipodlounge.com.
The short version is that you'll need to rip the DVD, then use a program to convert it. But the tutorials have links to programs and stuff.
FWIW, my iPod doesn't have anywhere near enough battery life to play an entire movie -- I can get about 45 minutes of video playback out of it, but not much more.
There are several programs out there that can rip DVDs to M4V for you. Do you have a Mac or a PC?
