I'm waiting for the PC that I keep around to just burst into flames. It's a little 3.0 GHz Celeron and it is currently pulling multiple shows off of our two Tivos, while also converting files to be ready for my iPod, and on top of that preparing mapsets in my Garmin software so that they can be uploaded to the eTrex GPS. The CPU has been pegged at 100% for at least 36 hours now. It's either going to combust, or give me the finger.

Awwww, the little PC that could.
You may need to install a freon or LOX coolant system, DX.
Heh.

I've found that WD-40 works just as well.
Perhaps no one but me might find this useful, but....
Windows/Mac/Unix (Firefox): The Aging Tabs Firefox extension keeps an eye on your open Firefox tabs, highlighting your active tab and fading the aging tags that you haven't used in a while.
If you're someone who's perhaps a little too tab-happy in Firefox (a pack-rat for tabs, perhaps?), Aging tabs could be a great way to find the tabs that are ripe for the chopping block.
Not only do I tend to have multiple tabs open - I usually have multiple Firefox windows open, with multiple tabs open. Sometimes I even have Firefox open on multiple computers....
Oh, that's totally me.
Motorola DVR Possessed by Evil.
That's pretty much all of them. While I haven't had it think its full when it's not, my DVR has had all the other issues hers has and I'm on my 2nd DVR from Comcast.
Ha, tommy, that's totally me too. tab mix is great for letting me ctrl-tab through all my tabs to see what, exactly, I have open. but that'll be useful too.
When I first got a DVR, I immediately received a bad one and had to get it replaced. The one I got to replace it went bad in about a month. And the one I got to replace that one also went bad in a few weeks. The fourth one finally worked.
When I moved here, they were actually OUT OF DVRs because they were replacing so many, so they gave me a regular digital cable box initially. That box was bad.
The tech actually brought a couple DVRs with him in case one of them was obviously bad. I've had mine for a couple months now with no catastrophic problems, thankfully.
It just baffles me that they have SO MANY bad boxes, and they just sort of expect the customers to deal with it.
