I did run across a way to have FF 2.0 ignore compatibility for add-ons, but I lost the link.
Ha! Found it. 3 Ways to Make Old Extensions Compatible with Firefox 2.0.
And method #2 worked for both my favorite theme, and LJHook.

Heh, I just figured out one reason why my theme was listed as incompatible. It doesn't display the Extensions and Themes menus properly. Not a surprise since that was one of the bigger changes in the interface, but hey, ironic.

SO, question--I want a new computer, but since for now I've got the work laptop, I'm not in a huge huge rush. Is there any reason I should wait, before buying a new MacBook? Anyone have any ideas how likely an update/new prices is, in the next couple months?

So I followed all the damn instructions to configure OE for POP access to Gmail, and pop.gmail.com isn't responding. Is that their problem or mine? Either way, this sucks.

You enabled it at both ends, right? In OE and in the gmail client? There's a setting of some sort you have to set in the web client.

Yeah, I tried that. It didn't work.
I set up POP with my Comcast e-mail, though, and that seemed to work fine. If I can't get stupid Gmail to work, I guess I can use that for a while. As long as I set up mail forwarding, everything should get bounced around to me eventually.
