This money, it is too much. You should have some small refund.

Coding and Sleeping

Banshee is a good Linux MP3 player for GNOME integration, the one I use.

Amarok is the primary KDE MP3 player.

Beep Media Player is another popular one and based on XMMS.

Hey. New board.

What sort of overhead?

The overhead's on the server end. Keeping a "continuous" connection to each client, rather than only connecting only occasionally, is more of a pain. Or so I gather, though I've never personally implemented one.

Now tagless for your comfort.

We're having trouble getting the progrm Vongo off of our new laptop. I ran the "remove programs" protocol on Windows XP and it worked for my profile. With DH, we can't seem to get the fucker gone and every time he logs on, Vongo tries to install. When I do the remove program thingy, I get a fatal error message and it just sits there, mocking me.

What can I do to get rid of this stupid, useless program?

Now tagless for your comfort.

I think I figured it out. It seems to be a problem with the installshield update manager. I uninstalled that and hope it does the trick.

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

Does it (or something similar) show up under the Startup tab when you run msconfig?

One of my peeves with RealPlayer was that it kept re-installing "TkBellExe" (its self-launcher) whenever I played a .rm file. It was a real nuisance (pun not intended) when I was on dial-up, because it kept interrupting what I was doing and demanding access to the internet, even when I wasn't running RealPlayer.

eta: Ooops, looks like I was too late.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

can someone tell me the difference between locking a tab in firefox and protecting a tab? I can't find the answer to this.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Is that default Firefox functionality? I can't find either in my copy.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

hmm. that's a good question. I wonder if I have this feature from one of my extensions.

no wonder I couldn't find documentation.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Hmm. I have both of those options, but I have no idea what they do.
