It's actually looking like the refurbished stuff is a better deal than the education discount (refurbished is about $200 off, whereas school is about $100 off). Huh.

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

And you could probably get a MacBook Pro refurbished, or a Powerbook not unlike the one you had already, if you didn't want to get just a MacBook.

My computer here at work seriously sounds like an airplane taking off whenever I tax the memory even *slightly.* It's insane. Loud, annoying, ridiculous, and insane. Stupid HPs.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Huh. I have an HP at home, and mine is very loud too. It seems worse now, or maybe I've gotten used to quiet Macs.

Dell towers, hell, even the Gateways downstairs aren't as loud as this thing. And it's brand-new, too. I can't believe HP is so incompetent at fan-making; or at least having the proper firmware so it doesn't sound like I'm working at O'Hare.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

So in the great chasm of my workday this morning, I set up Google Reader. Is there a way to make the feeds show the pictures? Because when I had the feeds set up via livejournal, the pictures were always there, but with GR, the pictures are just the ALT tags. And I can't find a setting in the preferences that would adress that.

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

Sorry SA -- I haven't had any problems with Google Reader displaying images. Could it be a browser setting?

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

I have avoided the whole blackberry thing until now, but a friend is visiting and let DH and I play with hers and now WE MUST HAVE ONE.

We are Mac users at home and of course will want everything to sync up nice and be massively cool. Any advice on where to shop, provider contracts to look out for, which devices are the awesomest, etc?
