I don't really *need* a new iPod. My 40G baby is doing fine. But oh. my. That 80G one is niiiiice. Of course, if I had a video iPod, I worry that I'd never, ever get any work done again.
Got a question about technology? Ask it here. Discussion of hardware, software, TiVos, multi-region DVDs, Windows, Macs, LINUX, hand-helds, iPods, anything tech related. Better than any helpdesk!

Man, that shuffle is about the size of a Chiclet.
Knowing which one you waaaaaant is easy! All of them! It's which one to get that's a little harder.
holy crap, that's super-tiny. I was going to say it isn't as small as this one mp3 player I keep seeing around here, which is a little cube thingie, but this is actually smaller. wow.

I KNOW!
My 30gig is new, so I can't get another big one.
Shuffle?
Maybe Paul needs a Nano...
Ooh - no one's mentioned this new iPod feature I've been waiting for since forever - gapless playback!
I REALLY don't need another ipod.
Right?
A new “Back Up to Disc” menu lets you easily back up your entire iTunes library to CD or DVD.
This is pretty sweet.

I would agree with you, but then I'd be hypocritical....
Are any of these new features (search, gapless playback, etc.) going to be implemented as software upgrades on existing iPods, or are they all only available on new hardware?
