Yeah, but you're an amateur fry cook and I come from a long line of fry cooks that don't live past 25.

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

Oh, wow. I totally want that search feature like now.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Movies (Disney affiliates, near-DVD quality, release date same as DVD but cheaper).

... and one more thing (they always go for the "and one more thing") - wireless set-top box.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

and one more thing (they always go for the "and one more thing")

Steve Jobs is Columbo.

In a mock turtleneck, but yes.

this is awesome. I'm glad now I waited and didn't buy a thirty gig ipod to replace my stolen mini, because now I totally want the 80 with the search feature. time to save up my pennies. or rather, my one cent euro coins.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

640x480 video!!

swoon

Of course, I have no excuse to replace my 30GB one any time soon, since (a) no money and (b) half-empty. Still, want.

Jess, I thought the same thing (and hence the double bang), but I think looking at the rest of the presentation that that's just the resolution on stuff in the music store, not on the new iPod screens. Still, it's got to bode well for a resolution jump on the next next generation of pods. Plus, at least it's not a postage stamp when you play it in iTunes.

I want more info on the set-top -- in particular how it handles your iTunes library. If it's just an interface to buy movies from the store, I'll be verra cranky at it.

.... looks like it's what I was hoping, which is a box to play my iTunes library, not a separate box that buys its own content. Now if only they'd play nicer with the linux boxes....

Ann, that's a ferret.

Unfortunately, the wheel on my 3YO 40GB iPod has stopped working. Which means I have a giant Shuffle.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Wee shuffle.

Thrive to spite them

My cousin asked me a question about iTunes "since you're into tv and stuff". He wants to know if there's a way he can get around the properitery issues with iTunes so he can watch stuff he's bought from iTunes on his Treo. I don't have any clue but I figured y'all would know.
