In any event, I have an inelegant workaround (producing the 'color:red' thing (when needed) in the SQL stored proc instead). So at least I can get our client off our backs....

I just got a brand-new laptop battery! It's so exciting!!! Previously it was lasting maybe 20 minutes. The new one has been going strong for over an hour, and still has 3/4 of a charge left! Whoot!

Ooooh, speaking of Firefox, there's a wonderful addin called Foxytunes that will let you control iTunes from a bar on the bottom of your Firefox window. Since otherwise I end up switching back and forth quite a bit, this is so very useful....
