Why is the black one more expensive? In what world does that make sense?
It comes pre-set to evil.

It's probably to deal with the demand to keep the black ones from selling out much faster. (That, and money.) Didn't that happen with the nano?
The black one has an 80gig hard drive, the white only a 60gig. But still! I want a sexy black one, but I have no desire to spend $1500.
Of course, at this point, given how my current powerbook is evil, and only two years old, I'm not sure if I WILL get another Apple. Sigh.

Right, but why? I mean, why not just make color an option like everything else?
Oh I agree! I think it's mean. Meanies. They just want to limit the people with sexy sexy evil computers.
I'ma have to agree that it's purely a demand thing. They know they can't supply the necessary number of black cases if they leave it an option, especially in the first round, when they're new and have novelty and would probably out-sell the white cases 3 to 1 at the same price. My guess is they'll make it a normal option in the second generation a few months down the road, when the white/black ordering skew will have evened out some.
So my iPod (mini, about 18 months old) has decided that the menu doesn't work anymore. I can play music still, but I can't choose any except by hitting the forward button. All the other buttons work, but the menu button at the top of the click wheel doesn't.
So no playlists for me.
Anyone got any ideas?
Have you tried resetting it, by holding down the menu and the middle button for a few seconds?
I have not yet, since I couldn't remember how to do that. Will try.
Thanks Tom!
I ran across this the other day and I have been curious as to how to default my "my computer" to EXPLORE in Windows rather than OPEN for a long time, but never spent any real time trying to find out.
Double-click on My Computer.
Go to Tools, Folder Options, then File Types.
Find the file type of FOLDER with extension of (NONE).
Click Advanced, Explore, then Set Default.
