You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Theo, try torrentspy.com.

Also, mininova.org is good. I just got it from there.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

Hi there! So I finally got an iPod, and I'm very excited. And for a while iTunes wouldn't load onto my laptop, but then it decided to stop playing hard to get and finally put out. Yay for that. BUT I'm puzzled about how the video bit works. 'Cause I'd really like to be able to play fanvids (which are generally in RealMedia, or WindowsMedia, or something like that) on my iPod. But it's giving me no love.

I apologise for sounding like a bimbo, but I'd be grateful for a clue as to how this is supposed to work. Assuming that it IS supposed to work, that is? But I'd have thought that it'd be a doable thing...

...anybody?

Bueller?

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Fay, if you can get the vids into iTunes, there's an option if you right-click to "Convert Selection for iPod."

I wish I could just go somewhere to get flensed but none of the whaling ships near me take Medicare.

You need to get it into .m4v format.

Mind you, I haven't done it yet myself.

Problem is precisely that I can't get the vids into iTunes, my love.

I'll have a crack at Spidra's links, then, I guess...

I rediscovered 43things.com and have found out they have adjunct sites. Right now, I'm finding the interface easy to browse and hell to adjust one's account. I can't figure out how I'm supposed to add information about myself...

I was charmed (albeit somewhat perplexed) by the fannish sensibility of many of the music choices -- it's like the director was trying to vid Canada. --loligo on the Olympic Opening Ceremonies

Hey, does anyone have any recommendations for good noise-canceling earphones to be used with an iPod while traveling? I'm trying to cut down on having to turn it up to hear while in a plane or whatever.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

This company has noise-cancelling earphones. [link] I've never used them myself, but I've used these [link] from the same company and liked them a lot. They go into your ear, blocking most external noise. I like them becaues I can actually hear my music while on the 'L' without having to crank the volume.

The Apple Store sells them....
