Put the album title in the search window. If it's a unique enough combination of letters you should end up with just the album you want. A search on "In My Tribe" gives me just that album, already in order (as long as shuffle isn't toggled on). A search of "So Peter Gabriel" gives me three extra songs, but I could just uncheck them if I don't want them to play.
If you are using an iPod you can browse by album.
Click on Library in your Source Window. Then click on the "Browse" button in the upper right of the iTunes winwos. You should now have a multipane view of your library. You can choose an artist in the upper left pane, and then in the right pane will be all the albums by that artist. Choose an album and it will turn up by itself in the lower pane.
Thanks. And what do you do when you want to burn a CD for someone of just that album?
Ooh, that's great, ND. I feel a bit stupid, but I've never used the browse button.
I knew I should've waited for someone else to answer.
Well, I appreciate your answer, aurelia. It's always good to know more than one way to do something. I still don't see the way to burn an album for someone without making a separate playlist for it, though...
I think you do need a playlist to burn a disc. I could be wrong (again).
You weren't "wrong" the first time, silly.
Sometimes I rather enjoy being wrong.
What's the big deal about makin a playlist if you want to burn an album? Drag and drop to a blank area of the playlist pane. Burn. Delete. Easy Peasy.
