It should automatically mount, but sometimes 10.1 had problems with newer images.

Oh! I should have been more specific, it does mount a virtual drive, but then nothing happens. I click, I get a picture of the fox, and, well, it's a huge file for just a pic of the fox. But it doesn't open the browser.

Firefox is downloaded, but wont open. it's a .dmg file and I dont understand what that means. So, I just spent an assload on broadband, and cant do one of two things I use the net for...reading my email.

Though, in 10.1, I recall having some tough problems with the .dmz,g, all the rest--it's part of the reason I scrapped using it until 10.2.

ETA: Allyson, if you downloaded the most recent version of firefox, it will not work for Mac OS pre 10.3. You will have to find an older version of it for download and install.

Yeah, I could barely get it to work in 10.3. I finally had to locate an older version, which works okay, but not as cleanly as it should.

On the right column, under "Quick Reference" is a bit that says "Users of Mac OS X 10.1 should download Camino 0.8.4 and the MRJplugin." with links.

Download Camino 0.8.4 - it, too, will be a disk image, but this version of camino should actually run on 10.1. Once the disk image opens, drag the big Camino icon to your Applications folder, and you should be able to run it from there. Camino, btw, is basically the same thing as Firefox, only made for Macs exclusively.

You can also install the MRJPlugin from the link, which I think will enable Java.
