Got a question about technology? Ask it here. Discussion of hardware, software, TiVos, multi-region DVDs, Windows, Macs, LINUX, hand-helds, iPods, anything tech related. Better than any helpdesk!
Basically, the TLER is stupider and less robust about error recovery, since it assumes that the RAID controller will be handling that task.
Thanks Tom. I want to use the drive for backup, so it seems to be a bad choice. Looks like the 400GB Seagate is a better deal all around.
Mssr. Scola, do you have to have my email address whitelisted? I just want to make sure my email to you went through...
Got it, I'll reply later this evening.
Thanks. I just wanted to make sure it had gotten through given that I know rr has a big ol' filter.
I have 2.5GB drives that still work but I just don't have a use for anymore.
Does anything even fit on a 2.5 gig drive any more?
OMG! I forgot to mention this yesterday, but I bought my boss a Samsung DVD-R/VCR combo player yesterday, and the remote has an ANY KEY! As soon as I get a chance to take a picture and post it, I will, but I thought you tech heads would get a kick out of it.
That's awesome. Hey Sean, pop on IM if you can.
