Tracy: Well-- That call -- That call means you just murdered me. Mal: No, son. You murdered yourself. I just carried the bullet a while.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

I think Jobs said it would work with all iPods ever sold....

Excellent.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Apple Store is back up: [link]

eta: Slow as fuck, though.

All iPods with a dock connector.

All iPods with a dock connector.

You can attach a Shuffle to the back. But then you're losing most of the integration, right?

Any other iPods that don't have the dock connector?

What's FrontRow?

Apple's remote control software, for watching movies and playing music. Which only comes with new models, so I can't install it on my G5, even though it's sitting in my living room.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Which only comes with new models, so I can't install it on my G5, even though it's sitting in my living room.

That's incredibly lame. For some reason (probably because I didn't care enough to do the research) I had the idea that it was just the media center front end for showing slideshows and such. I didn't realize it was specifically tied to the remote.

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

Surely someone will do a workaround eventually.

I kind of still like the radio transmitter from the ipod to the stereo, more than purchasing a stereo just for my ipod. I have roughly a 1000 cds that will never be ripped onto my wee 6gig ipod, and I can't lose that functionality.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Our non-ipod mp3 player finally died, and we just bought a used xm radio off our buddy, so our music-listening has changed somewhat. We need to replace the mp3 player, but I gotta decide with what. Using Napster, so we're unlikely to go totally ipod. But I need to figure out what in-the-house accessories I need to bring the xm in. Despite the fact that I already have xm with directv in the living room, I want it in the office and kitchen, too.
