Congratulations to the class of 1999. You all proved more or less adequate.

Allyson, a refurb Mac Mini might be a better option for you.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

The retail Tiger package ships on a DVD but you can have Apple trade it out for CD's after you've purchased it.

Why why WHY do they do it this way? I can understand the default format being DVD, because most Macs (newer ones, anyway) have Combo or Super drives, but wouldn't it make a lot less work for everyone involved to just make "give me CDs" an option at checkout???

(Not a real question, btw, just a rant.)

Oooh. Want.

Hmmm...when I offered to give Allyson my extra Panther disc, I didn't even check to see if it was CD or DVD.

If it's DVD, can you copy it to an external hard drive and run it off that?

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

My mac is only three years old. It is not allowed to be obsolete. NOT ALLOWED.

Only three years old? Are you certain it's a G3 and not a G4? Is it one of the CRT iMacs or does it have the LCD on the metal arm?

It's a G3. Um. It is a graphite iMac.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

And are you sure that it doesn't have a DVD? I bought a cube six years ago, and it had a DVD built in.

I'm seriously thinking about getting a PowerBook soon, too. I'd kind of prefer a MacBook Pro, but I'll be able to afford the PB much sooner.

I love the idea of a space elevator. I think that, as long as large groups of people are in love with the idea of murdering large numbers of other people in spectacular ways, a space elevator on Earth is extremely ill advised, and building one is just asking to see how many people it will kill when it comes crashing down.

Hey, just because it happened twice in the Mars trilogy...
