Lorne: Once the word spreads you beat up an innocent old man, well, the truly terrible will think twice before going toe-to-toe with our Avenging Angel. Spike: Yes. The geriatric community will be soiling their nappies when they hear you're on the case. Bravo.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

Is there a Buffista who works for M'soft? Plei, maybe?

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Do websites hosted at .Mac allow hotlinking of images?

Is it still naughty if you do it to yourself?

eta: Or, is stuff in a .Mac Public folder accessable through a browser?

All is well that ends in pizza.

When I had my .mac account, I hotlinked all the time.

I don't recall if the public folder is accessable through browsing.

Here, it says you can: [link]

But I can't test it, having no .mac account

Hey. New board.

Well, I have decided that I have room in my budget to replace my rapidly approaching dead iBook (it's started to flicker regularly, and it sometimes makes scary sounds). Thus, in a week, when the check I just deposited clears, I will be putting in an order for the lower-end MacBook Pro and an additional 1 GB of RAM at Other World.

Here's hoping the Early Adopter Bugs don't bite me in the ass.

It takes a week?

Ooh! Good luck. I'm jealous.

hmmm...

Once you get your MacBook, are you planning on selling your dying old iBook?

I would love to tear one apart and see if I could fix it. But then I say that about all the dying tech I get my hands on... :)

Maybe if I get a job soon...sigh.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

DCJ, all tech or just computer-y tech? Cause I am gathering all of my dead or tragically suicidal equipment and I prefer not to trash it.

Off of the top of my head: a dvd player that won't open up its yaw; a vcr that was messing with my whole setup so was just removed for my sanity (I have no idea if it works on its own because the dvd I replaced has vcr also); and a PlayStation that my nephlet said stopped working.

It's find a cheap way to ship and a willing recipient or checking the laws on trashing electronics and saying g'bye.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

I need some very odd help. If any of you are using MSN Messenger on a PC, could you please drop me a line at my profile addy?

All is well that ends in pizza.

VCRs are kind of heavy to ship anywhere vs their worth. If it seems to be working, Goodwill/charity may take it. If you were near Hyattsville, Maryland, I have a friend who can't afford one....

I'd work on a DVD player. Never ripped open a playstation. Hmmm.

Yeah, I'm a electronics geek, too. Sigh.
