Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Blah blah blah Mac rumors blah...

Appleinsider claims that while the MacBook Pro line will expand out further to completely replace the current PowerBook line, they report that the iBook will see the next revisions by second quarter of this calendar year.

Based on comments by Steve Jobs, the rumor site expects that the iBook will likely see a name change in-line with Apple's desire to have 'Mac' as part of its product names.

Speculation, of course, leads many to believe the iBook may simply be renamed to 'MacBook' while 'MacBook Pro' would replace the current PowerBook line.

By itself, this information is not especially revealing, but Appleinsider's November report accurately predicted the introduction of the Intel iMac at MWSF, closely followed in February by the first Intel Powerbook. With the MacBook Pro shipping in February, these predictions were actually quite accurate. In that same report, the rumor site also reported that Intel Mac minis and Intel iBooks were not expected to be released until Spring 2006.

Our wings are not tired

There were also strong rumors about the Intel MacMini at MWSF and also big ones about an Apple branded Plasma display. We'll see what happens. I like the new MacBooks but I need to wait for a 17" model and to see how well ProTools will run under Rosetta before I can really get one.

Somewhere else I read a rumor that the new Intel dual-core chips are gonna be in tight supply for a bit, which is why we're not seeing the Intel Mini or other sized MacBook pros.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Somewhere else I read a rumor

You mean the rumor that comes right before the one you linked to?

Does anyone know why a PS2 game from America wouldn't work in a Playstation bought in Ireland? I thought they weren't regional?

Is it an official PS2 game? I've read that Sony keeps on updating the firmware to prevent the playing on unofficial games.

Yeah, it is. It just won't play on my PS2. It's a Sega game. Might that have something to do with it?

Have you all seen this cell phone reception/tower website? It's awesome.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

That is cool, LeN. Apparently I have the wrong service for my neighbourhood.
