All is well that ends in pizza.

Pictures of the TiVo series 3

My first thought was "Yes, but does it come with Batman?"

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Batman delivers it to your house personally, but you'll never know he was there.

Batman is Santa?

That would explain the Batman version of Jingle bells...

Our wings are not tired

But is it bigger than Batman?

I think I worked on the episode of Batman that they are showing on the TV.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

Well then clearly they ought to give you one of those TVs! Squeaky wheel, Drew!

If I only had a brain...

Need frelling advice, damn it all.

Just had the cable guy out to figure out why our SciFi Channel reception was so bad. He fixed it, but also cheerfully said that this year SciFi Channel will become digital-only.

THe major reason I've stuck with basic cable is inertia; I didn't want to bother to deal with the set-top converter. Now that I'm stuck integrating my TiVo with a third-party tuner, I need to explore options. Is it time to go digital satellite rather than digital cable?

Buffistas who live in rainy areas, how good is digital satellite during storms? Can anybody point me at any FAQs?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Hey, I got Weaknees before you, Betsy, if memory serves.

TiVo To Go for Macs might arrive around the same time as S3.

Compassionately intolerant

I've got a question about voip + dsl. Anybody have any particularly good experiences...or suggestions for things to avoid?

I'm looking at speakeasy (both) or vonage (with additional naked dsl) in an attempt to a) reduce my monthly bill and b) do anything to get away from Verizon.

Bless them, Verizon can't seem to bill me correctly to save themselves (overbilling for 22 months--only credited my bill for 8 of them after 5 phone calls) and the reception is crappy. A friend with a similar sound quality issue was ultimately told that is just isn't going to get any better.

For this, I pay roughly $100 per month. Speakeasy is only marginally cheaper, but still.
