Got a question about technology? Ask it here. Discussion of hardware, software, TiVos, multi-region DVDs, Windows, Macs, LINUX, hand-helds, iPods, anything tech related. Better than any helpdesk!
LeN, when I made that decision I backed up the music directory for iTunes, then deleted it all from inside the app. I'm assuming your iPod can be used as a HD, right? Then I copied over all the music files from the iPod, and imported them into iTunes.
Then
I set the iPod to synch automatically. Worked like a charm.
My monitor is dying.
Any Bay Area-istas have an extra monitor they would like to get rid of???
MG, have you checked Craigslist? [link]
Lots of people are giving away monitors after christmas around here, maybe there, too.
I have a new Razr phone. When people call, it doesn't ring. (and BTW, Tom, I am sorry I missed your call yesterday). If I set it for vibrate, it makes a vibrating sound, but it won't ring. There is no indication that it is in silent mode. Any idea what might be wrong, other than just me getting a bum phone?
What happens when you set it to vibrate and ring? It shouldn't ring on vibrate. Just vibe and ring, or vibe then ring.
Perkins,
change your ringtone and then try it.
Unfortunately, that didn't work either. The only "sound" it makes is the vibrate one.
I think I just need to take it in to a store and see if I have something set wrong and if not, get them to exchange it.
DJC, that was my second though. I figured I'd give Buffiestas first shot at monitoring me!!!
OK, in the default iTunes instalation on XP, the playlist files are
iTunes Music Library.xml
iTunes Library.itl
tommyrot, it worked perfectly! I shall praise your name. Thank you so much.
