Buffy. When I saw you stop the world from, you know, ending, I just assumed that was a big week for you. Turns out I suddenly find myself needing to know the plural of 'apocalypse.'

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

You mean prev, next, that kind of thing? Cool.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Yeah -- I've been skimming this accessibility site, and it doesn't seem like the major browsers care. Still, I like what it does for Opera, and it can't hurt.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Interesting tidbit here about CD copy-protection: [link]

SonyBMG plans to begin the new year with a batch of freshly pressed music cds that will feature copy protection technology from First 4 Internet. First 4 Internet's technology encodes the music files with a heavy encryption that allows standard cd players to playback the music. There are also additional data files on the CD that further enhance encryption. All of which is easily bypassed by simply holding down the shift button when you load the CD into a PC.

All is well that ends in pizza.

A very good friend is looking for a cheap laptop under $200 that is adequate for college classes via the Internet. Prefer Mac, but in this case, even a Windows would be doable.

I'm doing some looking, but am not yet arrogant enough to believe I know all the best deals, or even if there might be a techy Buffista wanting to sell.

I will be giving the resulting machine a good twice over and prepping it for this person, so I want to evaluate it as if it was for myself.

Any leads, let me know, as I will be looking. Any private mails can go to my listed account or at dcjensen at mac dot com.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Have you tried eBay? You should be able to find a clamshell G3 iBook for that much.

eta: duh, my link was to a screen only....

I've been thinking of buying one of those myself, just because they're cute....

eta: OK, most clamshells seem to be going for more than that...

Yes, I am looking at eBay. It was, in fact, my first stop. However, I know that it is not the be all and end all, despite being arguably one of the most well-known sites on the internet.

And yeah, Mac laptops tend to be pricy on eBay. All laptops, really.

All is well that ends in pizza.

Crap.

The nova we call Supr has officially closed it's doors.

As you have probably noticed, we have often had downtimes. This was because it was so hard to keep this site up! But now we are sorry to inform you all, that SuprNova is closing down for good in the way that we all know it. We do not know if SuprNova is going to return, but it is certainly not going to be hosting any more torrent links. We are very sorry for this, but there was no other way, we have tried everything.

Oh well, the stuff I wanted most is tv shows, and they can be found elsewhere.
