Hey. New board.

For syncing with a Palm (Treo, in this case), I much prefer Missing Sync to Hotsync + iSync on a Mac. In Tiger, it has its own conduits for iCal and Address Book that sync things like categories (for both contacts and calendar), user pictures, IM address, and so forth - things that iSync misses. It can also use any other conduit (I've got Documents to Go on there, for instance), install software (on the internal memory or a card), sync with an iTunes playlist or iPhoto album, sync files with any folder on your hard drive (to a card), and many other neat things. Of course, if all you're doing is transferring the phone numbers from Palm->Phone, then there's no need for that, and you could stick with the free.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Firefox 1.5 has been officially released. [link]

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I downloaded that for work and home -- it's fast. Totally worth having to pick new themes for (since neither of the ones I'd been using have been upgraded to work with the new version yet).

Yeah, I already miss my Brushed theme. OTOH, all the extensions I had were compatible or upgradable, and it did the upgrade check automatically.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Is this on PCs or Macs?

Both. I miss my Mac theme the most. (Oh Abstract X, why won't you upgrade? Why?)

It's probably too soon to ask this, but have you noticed it to be more stable?

Hasn't crashed yet. :)

(And it turns out a compatible upgrade to my theme was available. It just hasn't been posted to the official themes site yet. Woo hoo!)

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

I downloaded that for work and home -- it's fast.

It is, but it's not even the speed I notice. I've been using it since the first beta -- I was supposed to just try it out and go back to the stable version, but once I got my hands on drag-and-drop tab ordering, I just couldn't bear to give it up.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Why is Opera losing this race? Is it the upswell of savvy users that followed the Mozilla story? Because Opera's been doing many of the things that people like about Firefox, and longer. I haven't found it significantly slower, and it's stable for me.

Yet it's barely a blip in the usage numbers.
