I tried that, but the links are still active.
Buffistechnology 2: You Made Her So She Growls?
Got a question about technology? Ask it here. Discussion of hardware, software, TiVos, multi-region DVDs, Windows, Macs, LINUX, hand-helds, iPods, anything tech related. Better than any helpdesk!
Have you tried copying it all to a blank worksheet? (As values only.)
I gave up and left them linky. They're not sorted the way I'd ideally like, but I can deal. (Really, all I need this for is a list of things to cross off to make sure all these clips ended up on the reel.)
It's so strange. I can't figure out why it wouldn't work on your computer.
Excel is just weird.
Jessica,
copy them, then do Paste Special, then select "text"
You might have to go back and convert the column to numbers. If you don't know how to do that, post back here.

I'm guessing we have different versions. My office is...not so good about the updating of things.
(I'd tell you what the version was, except I'm at home now.)
LeN, the problem was that when I selected more than one cell, the "text" option was replaced by a bunch of other things (like "values" "formatting" and suchlike. "Values" seemed the obvious choice, but it didn't change a thing.)
erg. that's frustrating.
Just to follow up a bit on the instructions given in the above link:
1. After entering the code, select File > "Close and Return to Microsoft Excel" (or press Alt-Q)
2. Select Tools > Macro Macros... (or press Alt-F8)
3. Select ZapHyperlinks, press Run
Your hyperlinks should disappear. Note: this will nuke all hyperlinks in the workbook.
Is there a Firefox extension that adds "Save target as/Download linked file" to a right-click menu? I remember finding one once, but that I need it, I can't find it on the Extensions site.
