Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

OK, this is a shot-in-the-dark for Sean, but are there any BIOS settings re: PS/2 keyboard and mouse that are changeable?

Hmm, I'll check that out too, tommy.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

ND (or other sound people), where's a good place to buy XLR cables online? (Or offline, if they have a phone #.)

RadioShack carries them, but the prices seem really high to me.

Our wings are not tired

And the radio shack ones are crap.

Try one of these Full Compass (If you call ask for Martin Vire, he's my sales rep and a greay guy), Musician's Friend, or Zzounds.

Don't fall for any of the monster cable bullshit. For premade cables you can usually get good quality ones for $15 to $20 for a 25' cable. Whirlwind is good, Mogami is good. Neutrik connectors are preferred.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Sounds like an electric sharpener that does not conform to FCC interference rules.

The company had the electric sharpener long before we even bought our original TRS-80. We have power problems in that end of the building. Their laser printer/fax machine is also triggering the alerts, although not as reliably as the sharpener.

I read somewhere that salespeople at electronics stores get huge commisions for selling Monster cables - more than they get from selling the electronic devices that use them.

Bookmarked, and thank you!

(Not that it's my money, but I'd rather not piss away the entire equipment budget on frickin' cables, you know?)

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Sean,

I work mostly on PCs and I can't help you with your question. I've got nothing.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

I just got an email from Tivo saying that 2006 will be the last year that movies will be released on VHS and that some manufacturers have stopped production on VCRs.

Wow.
