That's how they're set right now, but still, no go.
Are you sure that the username and password are correct? Does your iDisk work? Can you log in here using the same username and password?
Yes, I can log in there. Well, on there it says my username is [myname]@mac.com, whereas in Mail I had it set to just [myname]. But when I tried to add the @mac.com, it just erased it automatically, like it didn't need it. So what now?

Its likely that port 25 is getting filtered by your ISP, in an attempt to block outgoing spam. Port 587 is an alternate port that some mail servers use, which luckily includes .mac.
