Unfortunately, the sector(s) with the music on it appears to be one of the corrupt ones. Ever since the repair, I've been unable to access the folders with my previous documents and desktop data, which includes the old My Music folder, where the music resided. The folder properties that pop up on mouseover say that the folders are empty, but trying to open them gets an access denied error.

I fear the music is already gone.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

Jon, this is why I ended up consolidating my library. It was easier to let iTunes search my hard drive and copy everything to the iTunes folder rather than manually remind it where every MP3 was.

My library is already consolidated. iTunes has arbitrarily decided that it doesn't know where some of the songs in the consolidated library are.

All is well that ends in pizza.

Hmm... I suppose it's possible, but this power supply was bought new in response to the old one crapping out.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Can other people do lookups on tivo.com/tco properly? It doesn't seem to know any of my stations -- it's insisting that I watch Lost on 245, or something. This is after a handful of errors this morning.

The online Tivo listings are working fine for me. Did you check the actual unit to make sure it still has the correct channel lineup info? I'd be more worried about that than the online listings (unless of course, you're trying to schedule something).

I haven't had a chance. The reason I'm doing online scheduling (:P Jessica) is because I'm not near the unit. The idea that my lineup has kerfritzed is making me nervous.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

As if one needs a reason. I mean, really.

When my upstairs neighbors' network was confusing my Tivo as to how it was supposed to connect, I wasn't able to do online scheduling either, but it sounds like your error messages are different than mine (I was shut out of the system entirely). Will it let you schedule by time/channel?

In Opera 8, it's not showing me any stations under 100 (and the ones over 100 are WRONG). In Opera 7 and IE, it's not showing me any stations at all in that dropdown, but it shows me channel 7 on the show page and barfs "Sorry, but we encountered an error while processing your request. Please try again later." at me when I try and get a season pass, or record the ep.

::sigh::

I'm going to leave this alone till I get home, and, well, torrent anything it refused to record.

So there.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

ita,

tivo's online scheduling goes kersplat for me somewhere in the neighborhood of once every 2 weeks or once a week. I have found it unreliable enough that I always doublecheck it. There is no rhyme or reason why it is unreliable as near as I can tell.
