I have a dell latitude d600 (at least that's what it says on the case) and it is SO fucking much better than my Compaq Presario that I'm about ready to weep openly.
It is light and the dvd drive can be removed to make it even lighter. I wish the DVD drive was a DVD rw, but that's my only complaint.

No kidding. And blanking an entire organisation (as opposed to a reporter) is a bit tantrumy.
Google is the first one to say that yes, information is out there.
