All is well that ends in pizza.

Soon, I'll wager.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Another solution to CD desk clutter.

Simple, but serial access only.

I'd probably put a top and bottom "clear" disk from a spindle batch on the stacks.

And you could make a tea cozy for them to keep dust off...

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I have an AVI file that I would dearly like to be able to open in FCP and convert to Quicktime so iDVD can read it. How/where does one install the xvid codec on a Mac (OSX)? (VLC plays this file just fine, btw, but I can't watch it on the TV unless I can get it onto a DVD. I suppose a VCD would work too, but I don't know if my DVD player will play one.)

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

You will probably also need to download DiVX: [link] to get the audio codec.

[Edit: And I just confirmed that once those codecs are installed, my Doctor Who legally obtained AVI file can be read directly by iDVD, without having to do the intermediate Quicktime conversion.]

What's the best way to convert an MPG to an AVI on a Windows XP machine and keep as high a quality as possible?

And the cheapest?

Yep, mine too. Which is nice, because FCP wanted three hours to encode it. And I'm just not that patient.

Someone sent me a leaflet to print in a Microsoft Publisher Format. I don't have anything that can open Publisher files. Any free software out there anyone knows of that can? Thanks.

Perhaps Microsoft Reader on Windows: [link]

There's also a converter called Convert Lit: [link]

God, that's so annoying. Anyway, Create Adobe PDF Online will convert Publisher files to PDF, and it's free.
