Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Browser caches. I had to clear mine before I'd get the teeny text.

When I test, I test in a different browser from the one I use to reap links. And then ask the invisible people to try too. So I don't think that was it. Probably a typo instead. You'd think I could type buffistas.org by now, eh?

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Browser caches.

I don't think so, at least in my case. When I tried the links this morning, it didn't work, and since I don't normally go to that site, the page couldn't have been in the cache.

You'll be sure to let us know whatever reactions you get from excluding the naughty people, right?

I'll probably not hear anything -- one LJ user wrote me a note saying "Sorry! I didn't know hotlinking sucked! You didn't say so on your site!" but everyone else has been quite silent on the topic.

I'm trying to remember which site had a really horrible porn-like picture as their blocked thing, but I'm not that gross. Still, it was a quick teacher.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I'll probably not hear anything

Probably true, but you might get a nutbag who gets angry at you for stopping them from stealing your bandwidth.

I'd say that no one's that dumb, but this is the internet....

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

ita, am I correct in remembering that your job is document and/or content management?

If so, do you know anything about a product called Documentum?

Yes, yes I do. What do you need to know?

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Um, basics? Is it a good app, is it difficult to pick up? Am I talking out of my ass if I say in a job interview, "Oh, I'm very confident that I can learn the application"?

Is it anything like ClearCase?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

In what role will you be using it? Is it in place, and you'd need to use content in it, check stuff in and out, perhaps publish to the web, or will you be in any sort of design role?

I'm no ClearCase expert, but my reflexive answer is no. It'll be more like Sharepoint, or Livelink, or FileNet if you've used any of those.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

In what role will you be using it?

Tech Writer. The job description says:

Acting as a Coordinator for Documentum eRoom; managing memberships, changing settings, and controlling access to eRoom items; generating eRoom usage reports; importing and exporting eRoom databases; adding, modifying, and deleting eRoom files and folders; providing eRoom user training and support.

Knowledge of Documentum eRoom software is a plus, preferably in using eRoom in a Coordinator role.

Is it in place, and you'd need to use content in it, check stuff in and out, perhaps publish to the web, or will you be in any sort of design role?

I would assume that the basic structure is in place, and they're looking for someone who can maintain it.

I'm no ClearCase expert, but my reflexive answer is no. It'll be more like Sharepoint, or Livelink, or FileNet if you've used any of those.

No, alas. Should I be worried prepared to talk fast?
